Pamela is the research analyst for the Baker Institute Mexico Center. She works with the director and affiliated scholars to carry out research on Mexico’s policy issues and U.S.-Mexico relations. Her current project focuses on binational institutional development on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Prior to joining the Mexico Center, Pamela was a research assistant on an international project analyzing the transformations of cross-border governance in North America and Europe. She has held internships with the U.S. Department of Labor in Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Temple, Texas.

She also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Mali, West Africa, where she worked as a water sanitation extension agent. She holds a master’s degree in political science from The University of Texas at El Paso.
