Martha is no stranger to facing her fears and overcoming self-limiting barriers. She overcame her fear of speaking in front of groups, jumped out of a perfectly good airplane, and in 2008, became a breast cancer survivor. To celebrate her one-year anniversary as a survivor, she competed in the Aflac Iron Girl Triathlon. “For most of my life I was shy and lacked confidence. All of this changed when my daughter, Lauren, took me skydiving to celebrate my 50th birthday. Our safe landing resulted in having a new confidence that totally changed my way of thinking.”
“Encouraged by my daughter, I competed in the Aflac Iron Girl Sprint Triathlon to celebrate my one-year anniversary as a cancer survivor. With blood, sweat, tears and a lot of hard work t, at 62, I became an Iron Girl Triathlete. What a great surprise when my daughters ran with me across the finish line.”
Martha works with women in organizations who want to control life’s stresses and enjoy a life of resilience. “My mission is to save lives by informing audiences about the value of managing stress. I empower attendees to make their lives their number one priority. By taking better care of themselves, they improve their quality of life, and also increase their value to their work, their families and themselves. This results in leading a proactive life filled with good health, which can lead to happiness.”
