“I am gender equality activist, youth worker and trainer from Azerbaijan with a global mindset and ability to understand local realities. As a first chairwoman of National Youth Council of Azerbaijan, I managed to break a lot of existing gender stereotypes about women in leadership. I am very passionate about public policy making, gender studies and non-formal education. Having experience in managing the biggest national organization in Azerbaijan and national branch of biggest youth organization on a national level (AIESEC in Azerbaijan) helped me to become more qualified in change management, team management, strategic planning and organizational development.
In the past 10 years I spend my time advocating for youth and women rights in Azerbaijan by facilitating and managing youth trainings, conferences and campaigns. In the last years, I had a chance to develop my facilitating and mentoring skills by traveling around the world and delivering trainings for different groups of young people.
I believe that not only academic knowledge is needed to improve the world. According to me, non-formal education plays the most important role in improving the life of people and bringing value to the development of humankind.”
