Maya is an American entrepreneur, philanthropist, animator, artist, and the CEO of her eco-friendly fashion company Maya’s Ideas. She started her company in 2008 at the age of 8. She says, “My designs are sold all over the world and I have customers in Denmark, Italy, Australia and more. I love to use my creativity to give back. 10-20% of my profits go to local and global charities and environmental organizations.” She also helps girls pursue their passions in technology and STEM fields.
Maya has done three TEDTalks. Her TEDWomen Talk has been viewed over 1,200,000 million times (and is one of the top 15 TEDWomen Talks of all time).
