Tammy says, “I’m Tammy Strobel, and I’m a writer, iPhone photographer, teacher, and founder of RowdyKittens.com. I love coffee, morning views, small homes, and everyday adventures.
In 2005, my husband and I were living beyond our means. Our two-bedroom apartment was cluttered with stuff, we’d accumulated $30,000 in student loan debt, and my job was eroding my emotional and physical health. In short, we were stressed and unhappy. We decided to simplify our lives. Since then, we’ve given away 90% of our belongings, paid our debt, lived in a tiny house on wheels, and changed our careers.
In January 2010, I left my day job and started a micro-business. As an entrepreneur, I sustain myself through writing, photography, and teaching. Specifically, I help individuals focus on relationships, meaningful work, and creative projects by using the tools of photography and writing.
My first print book, “You Can Buy Happiness (and It’s Cheap): How One Woman Radically Simplified Her Life and How You Can Too”, was released in September 2012. My first photography book, “My Morning View: An iPhone Photography Project about Gratitude, Grief & Good Coffee”, hit the shelves in March 2014.”
