Yolonde Entsch’s career spans community, political, government and more recently entrepreneurial endeavors. Her focus is on empowering communities to engage and act. She achieves this through tailored programs, public speaking, humanitarian work and volunteering her time, experience and skills to help others be bold and brave.
Yolande is passionate about empowering women of all ages, places, cultures and communities. She is absolutely committed to working with key agents of change to promote women’s equality, self-reliance and economic freedom. She is an innovative leader with the proven ability to initiate programs and activities that equip and empower Indigenous communities to embrace the future – standing strong and proud. This includes helping professional women to reimagine their lives, assisting youth in discovering new pathways to training and employment, enabling Aboriginal women to upskill and embrace income-generating opportunities and boosting health outcomes for women and girls living in isolated villages in Papua New Guinea.
Yolonde was recently recognized for her personal and professional achievements when she was named a finalist in the Cairns Business Women’s Club 2019 Awards, ‘Small Business Owner of the Year’ category.
