Dolly Yeo is a trainer at WINGS, an organization in Singapore focused on promoting active aging for women. This vibrant and energetic woman defies the stereotypes of aging and is a huge inspiration to women around her. A self-motivated lady who does not let aging intimidate her, she encourages other women like her to lead a healthy and active lifestyle. Says Dolly, “My role is to empathize and connect with them so they feel more comfortable sharing their thoughts and given my experience, I feel I have developed more compassion to enable me to do the work I do. In helping them to connect, I have also learnt how to be a better coach. This is not just a job at WINGS, it is a two-way process.”
Dolly first joined WINGS in 2007. Her story is a reminder to us that there is never an excuse to give up on our passions in life and that we can be our own source of strength. She has also been an active member in the Toastmaster’s movement since 1993 and was the winner of the Toastmasters’ International division speech contest in Singapore.
Dolly says. “If I don’t add value to peoples’ lives then one day if I were to go, my whole experience has just gone down the drain. So I want to live a meaningful life.”
